1990 (Heisei 2) 10th Anniversary of Establishment
 
1991 (Heisei 3) Students’ Union Hall Built
 
1996 (Heisei 8) Establishment of the Department of Community Welfare
              Enrollment of Mature Students Started (Departments of Nursing and Community Welfare)
              Buildings #1 and #2 Rebuilt
 
1999 (Heisei 11) Renamed as Niimi College
               Enrollment of Male Students Started (Departments of Nursing and Early Childhood Education)
 
2000 (Heisei 12) Enrollment of Male Students Started (Department of Community Welfare)

2005 (Heisei 17) Become Municipal (due to the merger of Niimi City and four surrounding towns)
